Don't Be Late...

We just finished a super chic Alice in Wonderland-inspired shoot with the wonderful Nathalie Cadet-James of Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio out of Miami. We had a blast working on this and simply loved the creativity that came out of the collaborators! You can check out the full invitation feature here:

Will post a more in-depth entry soon with all of the other details! In the meantime...

Kimberly and Ed

This featured wedding was so much fun to work on.
Kimberly O. and her mother Connie were an absolute BLAST to work with and were ready and willing to get creative. This was an interesting challenge as they live in Fort Worth Texas and we did all of this via email :)
We started with the unique save the dates (we sent an orange!!!) Kimerbly wanted to incorporate Florida Citrus into her save the dates to excite her guests, most of whom are from out of state.

We then continued the citrus motif on to their FAB letterpressed engagement party invitations. We created a “happy citrus” pattern and illustration and repeated the pattern on the letterpressed envelope liner. We also repeated the "delite" wording from the save the dates.

Our next challenege was to create a unique and exquisite silk panel invitation that incorporated Kimberly's and Ed's color scheme (but steered away from the citrus).

We then focused on creating coordinating day of elements. Even the most minute detail had the signature floral motif and monogram that we designed for them (programs, table numbers, place cads, escort cars, custom water bottles, the dance floor, photo booth strips, guest favors, welcome bags, thank you cards....and on and on!)
*Custom Maps were also created, but they were so special that I have saved that for a future post!

What we've been up to!

Wow. How time flies when you are busy!!! We have been so hard at work that the blog has unfortunately been neglected. The good news: we have TONS of exciting work to share! With luck, we will be able to get to posts a little more frequently as soon as we are able to photograph things, but thanks for your patience none-the-less. We will also be updating the gallerie soon, so watch out for that!!

We also are very pleased to announce that dragonfly is expanding. We have recently launched cuddle bug - a company specifically geared towards baby announcements, baby showers, christenings, birthdays and truly all things baby but with the couture twists that are associated with dragonfly!
Just a few of the things we have been working on... hand made swarovski shoes, embroidered bibs, clothing and of course INVITES! The exciting thing is that the embroidered elements match invitation suites. Sooo look out for our "new addition" coming very soon. In the mean time, the temporary web site is up at www.cuddle-bug.com. Please contact us for all of your little one's needs!

Whitney and Laurent

I recently had the pleasure of meeting and working with the fabulous Ms. Whitney C. who was an absolute joy to work with; so organized and incredibly laid back!!
Whitney is a princess in the Disney parks and met her fiancé Laurent (who is the chef in Epcot's France) while working.
They were married at one of my favourite properties, the Don Cesar Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, FL. Okay, so we have the tall dark and handsome French man (WHO CAN COOK!), the princess and a pink castle. Can't get any more real-life-fairytale than that!

Whitney certainly did her homework and had some fabulous vendors to take her vision of a tropical teal and fuchsia event and make it a reality. With coordination by One Fine Day, stunning floral by Botanica , breath-taking photography by Limelight , and a truly unique fuchsia cake by Chocolate Pi, the evening was a success.

We created custom invitations for Whitney and Laurent and then continued her color scheme and theme of tropical orchids throughout the ceremony and reception, making coordinating programs, place cards and table numbers. Each element was adorned with silk fuchsia belts and bows. So fun and SO fab!

P.S - Sorry it has been so long since my last post! It has (and is continuing to be) an incredibly busy season. The good news is that there are so many exciting projects and I will have a lot of great examples to post (when I get a chance to breathe!)

Orlando Home and Leisure article and feature

We were recently asked by Orlando Home & Leisure magazine to contribute for a very exciting 12-page article highlighting destination weddings in Central Florida.
They asked us to put together suggestions and examples for invitations and event elements inspired by 4 different cultural backgrounds, paired with 4 corresponding resorts and hotels: Italian-inspired was the Portofino Bay Resort, Spanish-inspired was St. Augustine's Casa Monica (one of our favourites!), Polynesian-inspired was the Royal Pacific Resort and Asian-inspired was Epcot's World Center, China and Japan.
We were quoted several times in the article, alongside a few of our favourite coordinators (Jamie O'Donnell, Susie Weiss and Heather Snively), and the sets we created were featured.
We had a great time collaborating and hope that you get a chance to take a look!
